Drawing

I used to draw. A lot. And paint. And then life got busier and it fell by the wayside. But a few weeks ago I was procrastinating about work and trawling around the 'net when I came across book illustrator's site that grabbed my attention with the simplicity of its drawings and the expressions on the faces of the characters. I didn't note what the site was, and I can't find it again, but I picked up a pencil & made a few little sketches that have a vague resemblance to my daughter (at least the one of her asleep with her thumb in her mouth!).

Of course the X-man & Miss Tizz had to draw too, so below is a crayon drawing of our family by the X-man (still aged 4 at the time, and my! doesn't mummy have long legs?!) ...

... and a pencil drawing of happy mummy, cranky mummy & sleeping mummy by Miss Tizz (aged 6 - note the wrist, knee & ankle joints) ...

... and my sketches ...

I'm going to try to draw something every day, to get back into the habit. I can't guarantee they'll all make it here, but hopefully you'll see some improvement over time in the ones that do make it.
