School holidays - Day 4

Movie day! Woohoo! Unsurprisingly, the short people of the household were ready for their playdate much earlier and with much less fuss than if it was a school day. Dropped them off, and didn't even get a kiss goodbye. Hmmm ...

And so off we went to the local multiplex to see The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Nothing like raising a dead emperor and his terracotta army, ready to wreak havoc on an unsuspecting China, then resurrecting his long-dead enemies, buried beneath the Great Wall for millenia, and all before lunch. Oh - and boy meets 2000 year old girl. And friendly yetis. A not-so-friendly 3-headed dragon, comedic skeletons, and an idiot brother. All rollicking good fun really!

Then a slight detour via a bookshop, and back to collect the short people. Who were not happy that we were back already. Nearly 3.5 hours later, which was plenty, but never enough as far as they're concerned. It took about half an hour more to prise them out, and then we nearly scored an extra child to take home with us :)
